  • Greensgrow Farms was an educational urban farm and demonstration garden that provided Philadelphians connection to food and nature in an urban setting. A nonprofit dedicated to promoting social wellness through community green space, Greensgrow reconnected city dwellers with rural food producers and promoted the greening of Philadelphia’s homes and gardens. The nonprofit's small, dedicated staff ran multiple garden centers, educational programming, and food access programs.

As a marketing and promotions assistant, I was responsible for aiding in the development and execution of print and digital marketing efforts through photography, video creation, and blog, social media and website updates, and more.

This video project, which I completed as part of my internship experience, represents an overview of how the urban farm got its start and a picture of where it was during the summer of 2013.
